Sure, I love doing engagement photography, but what’s even better than this ultra-voyeuristic type of session? It’s doing this type of session with friends! I’ve known Richard and Libby for about eight or nine years, meeting them first through my husband. Here we all are years later, and I’m having the ultimate pleasure and privilege of capturing such wonderful memories!

These two are as cool as they are in love. Get this- they’re both performers and frequent Chicago stages. Richard even choreographs and teaches stage combat through R&D Choreography. Don’t think you can get close to Libby if she’s got her hands on a broadsword; she’s also a company member of Babes with Blades, an all-women stage combat ensemble. So, yeah- it’s a pretty dynamic duo if you ask me!

Of course, I had to jump on their theatrical flair and get some captures of them as their dramatic selves. This session is about them, after all, and the theatre is a big part of their lives! So, when they mentioned “Steampunk,” I said, “Bring it on!”
